Privacy Policy
MuseTrack only collects what it needs to keep your Song Journeys and wishlists in sync across your devices. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and your data is never sold.

Your account
To create an account you give your email address and a password. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to MuseTrack. Your email address and the date you signed up are stored with your account. Your email address is only used to sign you in and to send account emails you ask for, such as a password reset.
What you add
Your Song Journeys are synced to your account, including the song, title and instrument, notes, links, practice sessions (when you practised and for how long) and the names and details of your recordings, documents and song files. Your wishlists and the songs in them are synced too.
Recordings and the microphone
The microphone is only used while you're recording, and only after you allow it. Recordings are uploaded to your account so they're available on your other devices, and a copy is kept on the device that made them.
Documents and song files
Documents and song files you import stay on the device you added them on. Only their names, types and details are synced, so other devices can show that they exist.
Song search
Searching for songs sends your search text to Apple's iTunes Search API, and song artwork is loaded from Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to those requests. MuseTrack also contacts apple.com to check whether you're online.
Where it's stored
Synced data is stored with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), which may keep it on servers outside your country. Only your signed in account can read or change it. Your appearance and tool settings, saved artwork and changes waiting to sync are kept on your device.
Who it's shared with
Your data isn't shared with anyone else, other than Google Firebase storing it and Apple answering song searches as described above. Links you add open their websites in the app, and those websites' own policies apply. See Firebase's privacy information.
Deleting your data
You can delete any Song Journey, wishlist, note or recording in the app at any time. Delete Account in Settings permanently deletes your account and everything in it, including uploaded recordings, from all your devices and Firebase. Delete Cache in Settings removes saved artwork from this device.
If you can't get into the app, email privacy@musetrack.app from the address on your account and your account and data will be deleted for you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data held on your account, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing privacy@musetrack.app.
This website
musetrack.app doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which may briefly process your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
Children
MuseTrack isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be shown here and in the app with a new date.
